This book is what made me fall in love with reading! It's to blame for my reading addiction!

Diana does such an amazing job of writing in a way that really makes you feel like your transported to a different time and place and living in amongst these characters. Her writing style is so descriptive it really paints a picture for you.

Claire Randall falls through the stones and travels back in time 200 years, to be found by a band of Scottish Highlanders. Her main goal is to find a way back to her own time, if possible, to her husband Frank. But Jamie Fraser comes along and turns her world upside down. She is now in love with two men in two different times.

I love the humour and wit throughout the book. There is just so much happening in these books, time travel, love and friendships, highland politics, war. If you like some sexy time in your books, it is not short of that either. I loved the historical aspect to it all, it made me want to learn more about Scottish history and things of those times I wouldn't have cared about before. The supporting characters in these books are so lovable too, it's not just the main the characters that really make this book. The love and relationships that build in this book are like no other! Great first book in the series of 9 books so far.

Absolutely recommend this book! And the TV series which is also great, and I have rewatched far too many times!
